Fifteen European cities that are genuinely worth your time — not ranked, not exhaustive, but each one with a distinct character, a reason to go, and something specific you'd be glad you knew before arriving.

Western Europe

Paris, FranceStill the one. Skip the obvious and head to the Marais, the covered passages (Galerie Vivienne, Passages des Panoramas) that almost nobody visits, and a zinc-counter bistro with a prix-fixe menu that costs a fraction of what it should.
Amsterdam, NetherlandsThe canal ring is a UNESCO World Heritage Site — seventeen 17th-century canals in concentric semicircles. Rent a bike. The Rijksmuseum is extraordinary, but the Stedelijk (modern art) and the EYE film institute are both exceptional and far less crowded. Go in spring for Keukenhof.
Porto, PortugalThe Ribeira district along the Douro — azulejo-tiled houses, port wine caves across the Dom Luís bridge — is one of the most atmospheric riverside settings in Europe. Porto's food scene is one of the best on the continent and still affordable.
Lisbon, PortugalBuilt on seven hills, with yellow trams that are actual local transport, fado music in the Alfama and pastel de nata from the original Pastéis de Belém (open since 1837). One of the few European capitals that doesn't yet feel completely taken over by tourism. Go to LX Factory on a Sunday.

Southern Europe & Mediterranean

Rome, ItalyMore history per square metre than almost any city on earth. The Forum and Palatine Hill are underrated — you're walking through the heart of an empire that ran from Scotland to Iraq. Book the Vatican Museums in advance; go to the Trevi Fountain after midnight.
Florence, ItalyThe Renaissance, concentrated. The Uffizi holds Botticelli's Birth of Venus; the Accademia holds Michelangelo's David. Florence is compact enough to walk everywhere, and the food — bistecca Fiorentina, lampredotto from a street cart — is underrated relative to Rome and Naples.
Barcelona, SpainGaudí's work alone is worth the trip: the Sagrada Família has no equivalent anywhere (book months ahead for the towers). The Gothic Quarter, the Boqueria, Barceloneta and the modernista architecture of the Eixample make it one of the most visually stimulating cities in Europe.
Seville, SpainThe most distinctly Andalusian city. The Alcázar has been continuously occupied for over 1,000 years; the cathedral is the third largest in the world. Flamenco here is not a tourist show — it has deep roots in the Triana neighbourhood. The April Fair (Feria de Abril) is one of the most spectacular street festivals in Europe.

Central Europe

Prague, Czech RepublicOne of the best-preserved medieval city centres in Europe. The Old Town Square at midnight, the Charles Bridge at dawn, the Jewish Quarter (Josefov) with six surviving synagogues. Czech food is better than its reputation: svíčková in a traditional hospoda is worth seeking out.
Vienna, AustriaThe Habsburgs spent 600 years building one of the grandest capitals in Europe. The Kunsthistorisches Museum has one of the great art collections in the world. The coffee house culture is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Concert tickets at the Musikverein or State Opera are often far more affordable than the grandeur suggests.
Budapest, HungaryTwo cities merged across the Danube in 1873. The Parliament building lit at night is one of the most beautiful views in Europe. The ruin bars of District VII — Szimpla Kert being the original — are bars built in WWII-era derelict buildings, now a genuine cultural export. The thermal baths are a centuries-old tradition.
Kraków, PolandThe only major Polish city not destroyed in WWII, which means the Old Town is genuinely intact. The Wawel Castle complex, the Kazimierz district, and Auschwitz-Birkenau 70km away — visiting is sobering and important. The Wieliczka Salt Mine has chapels carved entirely from salt, 15 minutes from the city centre.

Northern Europe & the British Isles

Edinburgh, ScotlandOne of the most dramatically situated cities in Europe: a medieval Old Town on a volcanic ridge, a Georgian New Town below, and Arthur's Seat rising behind. The hidden closes off the Royal Mile contain small museums and bars worth wandering. In August, the Fringe turns the city into one enormous stage.
Stockholm, SwedenBuilt across 14 islands where Lake Mälaren meets the Baltic. The Vasa Museum contains a 17th-century warship raised in near-perfect preservation in 1961 — one of the most extraordinary museum exhibits in the world. In summer, take a ferry into the archipelago of 30,000 islands.
Tallinn, EstoniaThe best-preserved medieval walled city in Northern Europe — the guild houses and merchant streets of Vanalinn genuinely look as they did in the 15th century. Also one of the most digitally advanced cities in the world, creating an unusual layering of medieval atmosphere and modern infrastructure.

20 places in England to visit

England beyond London — twenty places spread across the whole country, from the dramatic north coast to the deep south-west, each worth the journey for a specific reason.

London & the South East

LondonThe National Gallery, the British Museum and the Tate Modern are all free. Skip tourist areas for specific neighbourhoods: Columbia Road Flower Market on Sunday, Maltby Street Market, the Leadenhall Market. The South Bank walk from Westminster to Tower Bridge covers more history than most entire cities.
BrightonThe Lanes and the North Laine are the real Brighton. The Royal Pavilion — an Indo-Saracenic palace built for George IV on the south coast — is stranger and more elaborate in person than any photograph suggests. The seafront is best on a November weekday when only locals are there.
CanterburyThe Cathedral is the destination: the site of Thomas Becket's murder in 1170, with medieval stained glass among the finest in England. The old city walls are intact and walkable. The Westgate Towers museum gives views over the rooftops that most visitors never find.

The West Country & South

BathRoman baths remarkably well-preserved, the Royal Crescent and the Circus — Georgian architecture so unified it functions as a single composition. Jane Austen lived here and found it stifling; the Assembly Rooms are still intact. Go to the Thermae Bath Spa rooftop pool in the evening.
Stonehenge & SalisburyThe stone circle is best understood with context: the surrounding landscape (Avebury, Silbury Hill, the Avenue) is one of the most significant prehistoric ritual landscapes in Europe. Salisbury Cathedral has the world's best-preserved original Magna Carta and the oldest working mechanical clock in the world.
The Jurassic Coast, DorsetA 95-mile UNESCO-listed coastline spanning 185 million years of geological history. Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, fossil cliffs at Charmouth where you can find ammonites at low tide. Studland Bay is one of England's best beaches. The walking between coastal villages is excellent.
CornwallA distinct identity — the food culture, the mining heritage, the Cornish language. St Ives for art, Padstow for seafood, Mousehole for the most perfectly preserved fishing village in the county. Skip Land's End; the Lizard Peninsula (England's most southerly point) is not commercial.
The New ForestOne of the oldest managed forests in England (William the Conqueror's hunting ground in 1079), now a National Park where wild ponies, cattle and deer wander freely. Cycle the forest trails, eat at a village pub, stop at the Rufus Stone.

The Midlands & East

OxfordThe Bodleian Library (open since 1602, 13 million items including a Gutenberg Bible), the Radcliffe Camera, the covered market and the University Parks. One of the oldest universities in the English-speaking world (teaching from 1096) — and the buildings make that legible in a way Cambridge is slightly too pretty to manage.
The CotswoldsStone villages around the Windrush Valley: Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury (Arlington Row is the most photographed row of cottages in England), Burford, Chipping Campden. Best in early morning before the coaches arrive, or in autumn when the beech woods are extraordinary.
Stratford-upon-AvonWorth visiting if you have any interest in Shakespeare: his Birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage (a genuine medieval farmhouse a mile from town), and a performance at the RSC theatre. Even a mediocre RSC production in that space is a different experience from a West End show.
CambridgeThe Backs — the lawns behind the river-facing colleges seen from a punt on the Cam — is one of the most beautiful views in England. The Fitzwilliam Museum on Trumpington Street is a serious art and antiquities collection, free and consistently underattended. Go in term time.
NorfolkTwo different things: the Broads (flat, reed-fringed rivers navigable by hire boat — one of the most unusual landscapes in England) and the North Norfolk coast (Holkham Beach is wide, wild and looks more like Scandinavia than England). Cromer for crab.

The North

YorkThe most intact medieval city in England. The Shambles, York Minster (one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Northern Europe), and the Roman walls you can walk in their entirety. The Viking history is layered underneath: the JORVIK Viking Centre is more serious than its name implies.
WhitbyA dramatic Abbey ruin on the cliff above a fishing harbour — the landscape that inspired Bram Stoker to set part of Dracula here. The 199 steps, the narrow streets of the old town and fish and chips consistently ranked among the best in England. Go in autumn when the light is extraordinary.
LiverpoolThe UNESCO-listed waterfront, the Three Graces and the Liverpool Museum — which tells the story of the port that connected the British Empire to the world, including the Atlantic slave trade. The Beatles Story is better than you'd expect. The city's architecture, food scene and nightlife are underrated relative to Manchester.
The Peak DistrictEngland's first National Park. Chatsworth House (with gardens by Capability Brown), the gritstone edges of Stanage and Froggatt, the limestone dales (Dovedale, Lathkill Dale), and the market town of Bakewell, where the pudding was originally made — distinct from the tart.
The Lake DistrictWordsworth's landscape, and you understand why he never left. Windermere, Grasmere, Coniston and Ullswater are each distinct in character. Scafell Pike and Helvellyn are serious walks but accessible to fit non-climbers. Go in October for the colours and the relative quiet.
DurhamChronically undervisited. Durham Cathedral — Romanesque, on a cliff above a river bend, containing the tombs of St Cuthbert and the Venerable Bede — is one of the finest buildings in England and far less crowded than comparable cathedrals. The market town below is ordinary; the peninsula above it is not.
NorthumberlandThe least densely populated county in England. Hadrian's Wall crosses it east to west; the coast has Bamburgh Castle on a basalt outcrop above white sand and the Farne Islands (puffin and grey seal colonies). The Kielder Dark Sky Discovery Site is the largest area of protected night sky in England.

10 countries to visit if you love food

Ten countries where eating isn't just sustenance — it's the whole point of being there. Each one has a food culture so distinct, so rooted in place and tradition, that the meals you have will be the thing you remember most.

Europe

ItalyNot one cuisine but twenty. Go to Emilia-Romagna for fresh pasta at the source; Palermo for street food (arancine, panelle, sfincione) that hasn't changed in centuries; Naples for pizza made the way it was meant to be.
SpainSan Sebastián has more Michelin stars per square kilometre than almost anywhere on earth, but the real magic is the pintxos bars — small plates of extraordinary quality eaten standing at the counter. Go to Valencia for paella cooked correctly, over a wood fire.
FranceLyon, not Paris, is where French food matters most. The bouchon tradition — slow-cooked offal, quenelles, all washed down with Beaujolais — is a serious and distinct thing. France also has 400+ named cheeses and a boulangerie culture that treats the daily croissant as a non-negotiable civic right.

Asia

JapanTokyo has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other city, but that's beside the point. The food culture is the thing: the ramen shops perfecting one broth for 40 years, the depachika food halls, the izakaya tradition. Japan treats every ingredient with a seriousness that is worth experiencing.
ThailandBangkok's street food culture has no real equivalent. The balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy in a single bowl of som tam at a pavement stall at midnight is remarkable. The food is also wildly regional: northern Thai (khao soi, sai ua) is almost unrecognisable from the central or southern styles.
IndiaThe scale of diversity is hard to convey. Kerala's coconut-rich fish curries share nothing with the slow-cooked Mughal biryanis of Lucknow, or Kolkata's street food, or the Gujarati thali. These are completely different food cultures that happen to share a country.

Middle East & Africa

LebanonMezze is not a starter in Lebanon, it is the meal — 15–20 small plates of extraordinary quality. Hummus made fresh that day, labneh, fattoush, kibbeh nayeh. The generosity of Lebanese hospitality and food are the same thing. Beirut's restaurant scene remains extraordinary.
MoroccoThe cooking of Morocco is built on patience: a lamb tagine braised for three hours, a bastilla with layers of warqa pastry, pigeon and cinnamon — sweet and savoury in the same dish. The spice markets of Marrakech and the medina restaurants are genuinely different from anything in Europe.

The Americas

MexicoUNESCO declared Mexican cuisine an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Oaxacan mole negro takes three days to make and uses 30 ingredients. Street tacos eaten at 11pm at a pavement stand are one of the great food experiences on earth.
PeruLima is one of the world's most exciting restaurant cities, with multiple entries in the World's 50 Best. But the food culture runs deeper: ceviche in leche de tigre is eaten for breakfast; chifa (Peruvian-Chinese fusion) is a cuisine in its own right. The Andes and Amazon give Peruvian cooking ingredients that simply don't exist anywhere else.

10 things to do before turning 30

Not a checklist of achievements to measure yourself against — a set of experiences and habits worth building before 30 because they are substantially easier, or more formative, at this stage of life than later. Some are adventures; some are internal work. All of them compound.

Live alone for at least one sustained periodNot a gap year, an actual stint of independent living — your own place, your own bills, your own silence. It teaches you more about who you are and what you need than almost any other experience, and it is significantly harder to arrange after 30.
Travel somewhere genuinely unfamiliar aloneNot a group tour, not visiting a friend — arriving somewhere new by yourself and having to navigate it. The discomfort of the first day and the confidence of the third are both formative in ways that shared travel isn't.
Work a job you find difficult or unglamorousWaiting tables, retail, manual work, customer service. Not as a character-building exercise, but because understanding what physical or emotionally demanding work actually feels like makes you a more grounded person for the rest of your career.
Build one genuine skill that has nothing to do with your careerAn instrument, a language, a craft, a sport. Not to be good at it necessarily — to know what sustained, effortful learning feels like outside of an institutional setting.
Have at least one relationship that challenges your assumptions about yourselfA friendship, a romantic relationship, or a working relationship with someone whose background, values, or experience is significantly different from your own. The version of yourself that emerges from it is more complete.
Get financially literate before 30, not afterUnderstand how a pension works and start one if you haven't, even at a minimal level. Compound interest over a 40-year career is one of the few financial facts that genuinely rewards early action.
Have one honest conversation with a parent or guardian about their lifeNot your childhood, their life — what they wanted, what they sacrificed, what they regret. Most people do this too late, if at all.
Spend at least one extended period without a relationshipNot as a rule, but as an experience. Knowing what you're like when you're not adapting to another person — what you enjoy, how you fill time, what you want — is knowledge you can only get this way.
Identify what you actually believe versus what you inheritedAbout work, money, relationships, success, bodies, ambition. Most of our assumptions arrive pre-installed. Your 20s are the period when you have enough independence to examine them but enough flexibility to change them.
Do something that frightens you in a healthy way at least once a yearA difficult conversation, a public performance, a physical challenge, an application you're not sure you're qualified for. The habit of moving towards fear rather than away from it is one of the most useful ones you can build early.

Rome, ItalyMore history per square metre than almost any city on earth. The Forum and Palatine Hill are underrated — you're walking through the heart of an empire that ran from Scotland to Iraq. Book the Vatican Museums in advance; go to the Trevi Fountain after midnight.
Florence, ItalyThe Renaissance, concentrated. The Uffizi holds Botticelli's Birth of Venus; the Accademia holds Michelangelo's David. Florence is compact enough to walk everywhere, and the food — bistecca Fiorentina, lampredotto from a street cart — is underrated relative to Rome and Naples.
Barcelona, SpainGaudí's work alone is worth the trip: the Sagrada Família has no equivalent anywhere (book months ahead for the towers). The Gothic Quarter, the Boqueria, Barceloneta and the modernista architecture of the Eixample make it one of the most visually stimulating cities in Europe.
Seville, SpainThe most distinctly Andalusian city. The Alcázar has been continuously occupied for over 1,000 years; the cathedral is the third largest in the world. Flamenco here is not a tourist show — it has deep roots in the Triana neighbourhood. The April Fair (Feria de Abril) is one of the most spectacular street festivals in Europe.

Central Europe

Prague, Czech RepublicOne of the best-preserved medieval city centres in Europe. The Old Town Square at midnight, the Charles Bridge at dawn, the Jewish Quarter (Josefov) with six surviving synagogues. Czech food is better than its reputation: svíčková in a traditional hospoda is worth seeking out.
Vienna, AustriaThe Habsburgs spent 600 years building one of the grandest capitals in Europe. The Kunsthistorisches Museum has one of the great art collections in the world. The coffee house culture is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. Concert tickets at the Musikverein or State Opera are often far more affordable than the grandeur suggests.
Budapest, HungaryTwo cities merged across the Danube in 1873. The Parliament building lit at night is one of the most beautiful views in Europe. The ruin bars of District VII — Szimpla Kert being the original — are bars built in WWII-era derelict buildings, now a genuine cultural export. The thermal baths are a centuries-old tradition.
Kraków, PolandThe only major Polish city not destroyed in WWII, which means the Old Town is genuinely intact. The Wawel Castle complex, the Kazimierz district, and Auschwitz-Birkenau 70km away — visiting is sobering and important. Northern Europe & the British Isles

Tallinn, EstoniaThe best-preserved medieval walled city in Northern Europe — the guild houses and merchant streets of Vanalinn genuinely look as they did in the 15th century. Also one of the most digitally advanced cities in the world, creating an unusual layering of medieval atmosphere and modern infrastructure.

20 places in England to visit

England beyond London — twenty places spread across the whole country, from the dramatic north coast to the deep south-west, each worth the journey for a specific reason.

London & the South East

LondonThe National Gallery, the British Museum and the Tate Modern are all free. Skip tourist areas for specific neighbourhoods: Columbia Road Flower Market on Sunday, Maltby Street Market, the Leadenhall Market. The South Bank walk from Westminster to Tower Bridge covers more history than most entire cities.
BrightonThe Lanes and the North Laine are the real Brighton. The Royal Pavilion — an Indo-Saracenic palace built for George IV on the south coast — is stranger and more elaborate in person than any photograph suggests. The seafront is best on a November weekday when only locals are there.
CanterburyThe Cathedral is the destination: the site of Thomas Becket's murder in 1170, with medieval stained glass among the finest in England. The old city walls are intact and walkable. The Westgate Towers museum gives views over the rooftops that most visitors never find.

The West Country & South

BathRoman baths remarkably well-preserved, the Royal Crescent and the Circus — Georgian architecture so unified it functions as a single composition. Jane Austen lived here and found it stifling; the Assembly Rooms are still intact. Go to the Thermae Bath Spa rooftop pool in the evening.
Stonehenge & SalisburyThe stone circle is best understood with context: the surrounding landscape (Avebury, Silbury Hill, the Avenue) is one of the most significant prehistoric ritual landscapes in Europe. Salisbury Cathedral has the world's best-preserved original Magna Carta and the oldest working mechanical clock in the world.
The Jurassic Coast, DorsetA 95-mile UNESCO-listed coastline spanning 185 million years of geological history. Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, fossil cliffs at Charmouth where you can find ammonites at low tide. Studland Bay is one of England's best beaches. The walking between coastal villages is excellent.
CornwallA distinct identity — the food culture, the mining heritage, the Cornish language. St Ives for art, Padstow for seafood, Mousehole for the most perfectly preserved fishing village in the county. Skip Land's End; the Lizard Peninsula (England's most southerly point) is not commercial.
The New ForestOne of the oldest managed forests in England (William the Conqueror's hunting ground in 1079), now a National Park where wild ponies, cattle and deer wander freely. Cycle the forest trails, eat at a village pub, stop at the Rufus Stone.

The Midlands & East

OxfordThe Bodleian Library (open since 1602, 13 million items including a Gutenberg Bible), the Radcliffe Camera, the covered market and the University Parks. One of the oldest universities in the English-speaking world (teaching from 1096) — and the buildings make that legible in a way Cambridge is slightly too pretty to manage.
The CotswoldsStone villages around the Windrush Valley: Bourton-on-the-Water, Bibury (Arlington Row is the most photographed row of cottages in England), Burford, Chipping Campden. Best in early morning before the coaches arrive, or in autumn when the beech woods are extraordinary.
Stratford-upon-AvonWorth visiting if you have any interest in Shakespeare: his Birthplace, Anne Hathaway's Cottage (a genuine medieval farmhouse a mile from town), and a performance at the RSC theatre. Even a mediocre RSC production in that space is a different experience from a West End show.
CambridgeThe Backs — the lawns behind the river-facing colleges seen from a punt on the Cam — is one of the most beautiful views in England. The Fitzwilliam Museum on Trumpington Street is a serious art and antiquities collection, free and consistently underattended. Go in term time.
NorfolkTwo different things: the Broads (flat, reed-fringed rivers navigable by hire boat — one of the most unusual landscapes in England) and the North Norfolk coast (Holkham Beach is wide, wild and looks more like Scandinavia than England). Cromer for crab.

The North

YorkThe most intact medieval city in England. The Shambles, York Minster (one of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Northern Europe), and the Roman walls you can walk in their entirety. The Viking history is layered underneath: the JORVIK Viking Centre is more serious than its name implies.
WhitbyA dramatic Abbey ruin on the cliff above a fishing harbour — the landscape that inspired Bram Stoker to set part of Dracula here. The 199 steps, the narrow streets of the old town and fish and chips consistently ranked among the best in England. Go in autumn when the light is extraordinary.
LiverpoolThe UNESCO-listed waterfront, the Three Graces and the Liverpool Museum — which tells the story of the port that connected the British Empire to the world, including the Atlantic slave trade. The Beatles Story is better than you'd expect. The city's architecture, food scene and nightlife are underrated relative to Manchester.
The Peak DistrictEngland's first National Park. Chatsworth House (with gardens by Capability Brown), the gritstone edges of Stanage and Froggatt, the limestone dales (Dovedale, Lathkill Dale), and the market town of Bakewell, where the pudding was originally made — distinct from the tart.
The Lake DistrictWordsworth's landscape, and you understand why he never left. Windermere, Grasmere, Coniston and Ullswater are each distinct in character. Scafell Pike and Helvellyn are serious walks but accessible to fit non-climbers. Go in October for the colours and the relative quiet.
DurhamChronically undervisited. Durham Cathedral — Romanesque, on a cliff above a river bend, containing the tombs of St Cuthbert and the Venerable Bede — is one of the finest buildings in England and far less crowded than comparable cathedrals. The market town below is ordinary; the peninsula above it is not.
NorthumberlandThe least densely populated county in England. Hadrian's Wall crosses it east to west; the coast has Bamburgh Castle on a basalt outcrop above white sand and the Farne Islands (puffin and grey seal colonies). The Kielder Dark Sky Discovery Site is the largest area of protected night sky in England.

Europe

ItalyNot one cuisine but twenty. Go to Emilia-Romagna for fresh pasta at the source; Palermo for street food (arancine, panelle, sfincione) that hasn't changed in centuries; Naples for pizza made the way it was meant to be.
SpainSan Sebastián has more Michelin stars per square kilometre than almost anywhere on earth, but the real magic is the pintxos bars — small plates of extraordinary quality eaten standing at the counter. Go to Valencia for paella cooked correctly, over a wood fire.
FranceLyon, not Paris, is where French food matters most. The bouchon tradition — slow-cooked offal, quenelles, all washed down with Beaujolais — is a serious and distinct thing. France also has 400+ named cheeses and a boulangerie culture that treats the daily croissant as a non-negotiable civic right.

Asia

JapanTokyo has more Michelin-starred restaurants than any other city, but that's beside the point. The food culture is the thing: the ramen shops perfecting one broth for 40 years, the depachika food halls, the izakaya tradition. Japan treats every ingredient with a seriousness that is worth experiencing.
ThailandBangkok's street food culture has no real equivalent. The balance of sweet, sour, salty and spicy in a single bowl of som tam at a pavement stall at midnight is remarkable. The food is also wildly regional: northern Thai (khao soi, sai ua) is almost unrecognisable from the central or southern styles.
IndiaThe scale of diversity is hard to convey. Kerala's coconut-rich fish curries share nothing with the slow-cooked Mughal biryanis of Lucknow, or Kolkata's street food, or the Gujarati thali. These are completely different food cultures that happen to share a country.

Middle East & Africa

LebanonMezze is not a starter in Lebanon, it is the meal — 15–20 small plates of extraordinary quality. Hummus made fresh that day, labneh, fattoush, kibbeh nayeh. The generosity of Lebanese hospitality and food are the same thing. Beirut's restaurant scene remains extraordinary.
MoroccoThe cooking of Morocco is built on patience: a lamb tagine braised for three hours, a bastilla with layers of warqa pastry, pigeon and cinnamon — sweet and savoury in the same dish. The spice markets of Marrakech and the medina restaurants are genuinely different from anything in Europe.

The Americas

MexicoUNESCO declared Mexican cuisine an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Oaxacan mole negro takes three days to make and uses 30 ingredients. Street tacos eaten at 11pm at a pavement stand are one of the great food experiences on earth.
PeruLima is one of the world's most exciting restaurant cities, with multiple entries in the World's 50 Best. But the food culture runs deeper: ceviche in leche de tigre is eaten for breakfast; chifa (Peruvian-Chinese fusion) is a cuisine in its own right. The Andes and Amazon give Peruvian cooking ingredients that simply don't exist anywhere else.
